We are just mad about tigers!
Welcome To Tiger Mad
Welcome, everyone. I’m Jeremy and I have young 3 daughters and a beautiful wife. I’m a musician, business owner and web developer from Melbourne, Australia. I also have a teaching qualification.
My Passion For Tigers
Honestly, my passion for tigers really began with an Australian Football League (AFL) football team called Richmond Tigers. I’ve been their supporter since I was a child.
I’ve also loved the look of real tiger animals. They are true majestic creatures. And over the years I’ve felt a significant connection when I look at them in photos or real life.
I reckon after 40+ years of responding to Aussies asking me if I follow the footy, and me saying, “Yeah, I’m a mad Tiger supporter,” it’s gotta have some subconscious effect on the brain.
I’m also saddened by their population demise and the loss of 3 subspecies to hunting and habitat loss.
We don’t realise the harsh realities faced by these majestic creatures—threats from poaching and habitat loss that constantly loom over their existence.
Why I built Tigermad.com
I realized that sharing a helpful website about tigers could ignite a passion for conservation in others just like me.
As a homeschooling father and teacher, I’m passionate about educating others, especially children, about wildlife conservation.
I’d also like to connect to all supporting teams with Tigers as their mascots. There are a few so stay tuned for that.
This website is predominately created as a easy to navigate, online resource about tigers worldwide to assist children and fellow tiger enthusiasts with their understanding and appreciation of tigers. It’s also a great resource for supporting school projects.
Through storytelling and community engagement, I’m advocating for the cause of the Bengal tiger and other tigers to ensure that more people are aware of and committed to the survival of wild tigers across the globe.
Tiger Island at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, AU.
We’ve visited Tiger Island at Dreamworld a few times and seen first hand the good work they are doing.
We support organizations like the World Wildlife Fund, dedicated to protecting these magnificent animals and their habitats.
